My Lexus RX350 AWD at SoCal Fire
Today at about 6pm a fire broke out in Orange County California - burning over 3800 acres by 10:30pm as it moved into Irvine. I was near where the first started with my RX350 & camera. You can see a few photos of my RX with the fire in the background, as well as a short video clip I shot. I ended up getting really close (to take some photos) and actually had to do a little off-roading to get turned around and out of there when the fire moved to close (I followed right behind a Jeep). It's nothing spectacular, but I got my Lexus in some of the shots and thought I'd share those.

The smoke is just awful, but I'm really amazed at how well the ventilation system works in my Lexus - you can barely smell the smoke with the system running once it clears the air from opening the doors. I'm sure when all the fires are out in a week I'll need to go get my filters replaced, but it's just amazing how well it is working to filter out all the ash & smoke in the air.

That's a shocker! Hearing it or watching in the news is different than an actual person seeing it and sharing via video! It is aweful that we have lost so many....I know it is the cycle of life...but...

Oh yeah - also sent it to Fox & NBC but they seem to like sticking with images from a helicopter. CNN has ran it a few times and so many people have emailed me who saw it. One of my friends teased me about how I always make certain to make my Lexus a part of any video I shoot. :-)
