Default Missing Rubber At Grill - RX 350

Look closely at the rubber gasket that surrounds your front grill (part of the hood).

At the bottom and right at the middle part you will see what seem like a missing rubber part ( about an inch short ).

Firstly, I though it was broken but upon looking at other RX's it also has the missing part.

Wondered why Lexus did that, and what is the logic behind it?

I would think it so any water or condensate that gets behind the grill has an exit point. When I took my grill off I noticed that the gasket just seals around the outer edge, water can get behind the grill. Just my 2 cents worth.

Relief for water, seems to be logical.

Also, the gap allows for movement, even though there's not much movement to be seen, expansion, contraction.
