I use the Meguiar's claybar first then use the NXT. Works wonders!

I use Klasse Polish and Glaze (their version of wax/sealant). It's synthetic so it last a little longer than conventinoal caranuba. The polish is the easiest to apply and TAKE OFF of all the ones I've used over the years which include zymol, meguires, turtle wax and pinnacle. I polished/waxed my G35 in January and it's still beading. A lot of friends I know only do it twice a year (as it states on the bottle I think). I try to do it 3-4 times a year but I've been pretty busy. It's best on black/red or darker color paint and gives it that "wet" look once your done. I buy it from autogeek.net and they usually have some 10% code if you google it.

Zaino. I also recommend the use of a clay bar first.

Ditto...Zaino all the way. I used to only use Meguires' products until a friend recommmended Zaino and I haven't gone back since.

Zaino (unlike nu-finish) does not get into balck plastic or rubber. How about NXT.

Default wax

hey everyone, new to this board, but just my input on waxes: i usually use meguiars quick wax, but turtle wax came out with a new line called 'Ice', that thing is awesome. i washed my rx350 with meguiars wash, then used the turtle wax liquid clay bar, dried it, then went over with turtle wax' liquid polish. 3 days later, "Lexy" (my rx350) still looks like black glass.

Liquid Clay Bar....is this new? Is this as effective? What is a clay bar anyway? How is it different from fine polishing compound?

I've yet to see a liquid clay bar that is nearly as effective as the real deal. They seem to simply be a mild paint cleanser/chemical polish.

A clay bar removes surface contaminants from the finish. Atmospheric fallout, tree sap, paint transfer, etc. It's an outstanding tool and is well worth the small cost and time investment.

No offense on the Turtle Wax stuff, but it's loaded with oils that offer nice short-term results but very little in the way of durability and protection in general.

Been using Zymol (love the smell) but will have to give that NXT and clay bar a look.
Here is a guy who will do it for you,for $10,000.00 !
