Bluetooth Cell Phone for the 2006 RX330
I currently have a T-Mobile Motorola V330 phone, and I am only able to download one phone number at a time into my 2006 RX-330.
I was told by a Lexus mechanic that some phones have the ability to transfer the whole phone book at once.
Which phone is the best?
Anyone use the T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl?
If so please advise...

A few Blackjack questions for you RXowner:
How is your battery life?
Do you keep the bluetooth on all day?
Have you tried call waiting with your BJ and the Lexus?
Does the Blackjack accept 3rd party software installations ie. MS Onenote?
Thanks

Couple of days, depending on how you use it. I don't use it for music, but I have BT on all day. I make short-length phone calls, with a 30-minute con-call maybe every other day.
Yes.
Hmm...never had a call come in while I was using it in the Lexus. I would imaging I would pick up the phone and press the appropriate key.
Yes. Currently, I have the following third-party apps installed:
IMO, the coolest feature of the Blackjack (and other Windows Mobile -based phones) is that I can "tether" it to my laptop and have a high-speed network connection just about anywhere. The 3G speed for me is from 750Kbps to over 900Kbps. I once got T1 speed (1024Kbps)! I no longer pay for T-Mobile HotSpots or airport wireless fees, etc.
p.s. The Blackjack also comes (in the box) with a second, high capacity battery which provides even more juice than the standard battery.

- pTravelAlarm (Burr Oak Software)
- Connected Bits Weather
- greatBal gCalc (cool calculator)
- Ilium Software's Screen Capture
- Mapopolis (GPS Navigation software)
- Microsoft's .NET Compact Framework 2.0
- Microsoft Live Search
- PHM Registry Editor
- Vieka WordPad

Thank you for your reply. RXOwner, would it be possible for you to test the call waiting with your Blackjack? With my Razr, I loose both phone calls. I had to shut off the call waiting because my wife always calls me for nonsense while I am on with a customer. I would really appreciate it.

I have a new '08 RX-350 and a Verizon Blackberry 8830 which is just a full QWERTY Pearl and I can download the whole phone book in one swoop. However, if you have more than two entries per person (phones) they will be split up into multiple duplicate names with separate numbers.. .that is a poor implementation of the address book on the car but I can live with it.
