Default RX Twin Exhaust

Hi All,

I came across this the other day and thought I would share it with you. I dont mind the twin look but the 4 piece looks ordinary

What do you all think ?

agreed, the quad looks rediculous. The Twin is definitely nice though.

For performance it would be easier to make a double exit/inlet muffler like on my RX300 (the extension above to the other side will help, but not as much as my idea)...however I can't beat those photos on looks.

The twin looks really nice.. Lexus should have done this in the begining like the Infiniti FX, MDX, etc.. It looks more balanced with the twin exhaust rather than the single..

the only thing tho. that this is atwin exhaust with a single muffler. Usually the other vehicles like the MDX and The FX, have dual muflers too.

Yeah, but doesnt the MDX and the FX use a single pipe after the header and then splites it to 2 muffler?

Have seen duel exhaust on some custom RX's before and it looked really good. If Lexus can do this with the IS, GS, LS, why couldn't they provide duels for the RX, seems a bit silly to me.

Probably but my point is eventhough it splits after the header, the is still some power gain. But the pipes shown here is after the mufler and therefore only for show. Just like the hood scoops on the Tacoma and the older RAV4

The split for the MDX takes place at the Y pipe after the catalytic convertor. last part of MDX's collector and the cat are both shared, after the manifold exhaust header. I like moving the split upstream though but does any SUV have a true dual exhaust?

A true dual exhaust will be cost and space prohibitive, will it gain you enough HP to warrant? Do not know.

wats the point? to add another 3-6 hp in a car that is already underpowered to begin with? i dont even know why i put v-rated tires on my car when i changed, since the car can't even use 10 percebnt of the potential.
