Default AWD RX330/350 in Hawaii?

My wife is looking at upgrading to the RX350. We have an 04 AWD with perf. package so we would want the same thing.

A while back, I was told by the local dealership here in HI (Servco) that they don't bring in AWD RXs and if I really wanted one, it would have to be special order.

Is there anyone here (in Hawaii) that ordered an AWD RX? If so, how long exactly did it take to get it and were you limited in what options you could get?

Does the performance package need to be special ordered too?

How did you even purchase an '04 w/ the performance pack? That specific package, along with the multi-panel moonroof AND 18" wheels weren't available in Hawai'i during the '04 model year...

I remember my saleman telling me that AWD models do need to be special ordered (especially since there's no need for AWD with our perfect weather!)

When I bought my RX, I had to special order the black interior, because all the silver RX's were coming with light gray interiors. It took around 84 days (I remember counting and posting that back in '03).

The performance pack probably has to be special ordered too. I haven't seen too many of those just "come in" on their own.

Servco, which is the sole importer for everything Toyota/Lexus does things their own way. They have nothing to do with Lexus USA. That is why our packages and MSRP prices are different from those on the mainland.
