As I let go the gas pedal, my RX surges by itself as it downshifts
to first gear.

Big disappointment. Will see what the techies say on me first inspection service due this Tuesday, 13th.

Has anyone experience this?

im taking my car to the dealer this week for that. my mechanic (independent), has an rx330 and has taken his car back twice to the dealer to fix the problem but it still happens. the people at the dealer admitted that almost all RX's and ES's have the problem. my mechanic thinks its a programming thing. anooying isnt it>?

That is why I bought the RX350 instead of the hybrid version. The hybrid surges all over the place! If you do not like surges and delays, keep to the gas engine.

I was referring to the same vehicle 07 RX350 (not the hybrid R400h).

Does your RX surges as well?

the hybrid already surges...the normal rx does that also. the dealer said that it was a "trait" of the RX and was common, i was like WTF?
