I will take a shot at your questions.
1. Yes, but you will need your account number and expiration date. You could try calling LFS and getting this info, the number is 1-866-877-4966
2. Yes
3. Yes.

Anyone using the card?
Anyone still using this card? We're using it for our monthly expenses when we can (paid in full each month) and I currently have about 1K in points racked up. My plan was to use it for oil changes, etc but since I don't put on a lot of miles, I will only need to do those 2x a year. Currently I will average 20 or 30 bucks a month in points. I bought a cargo mat from Lexus with some of the points, (not thrilled with it) and I already have Weathertech floor liners (love them). Not interested in XM radio. Any interesting ideas on how to spend them? What are you saving yours for?

Wow, that's interesting. Does it make economic sense compared to a car loan? Last I looked the rate on that card was 14% or so (been a while). Do you plan to pay it out or pay it off? If you plan to pay it off the 250k points is a real deal.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry to bump a very old topic but thought this would be more appropriate than starting an entirely new thread. Planning to lease another Lexus (CT 200H) in the coming months and wondering if it is worthwhile opening the Pursuits visa card. I'm fairly savvy on credit cards and use different cards to maximize rewards depending on the merchant category and for any bonuses that may be in place. I have a lot of business and travel expenses I can put on the card, but feel I get more value with airline, hotel and cash back cards I already have. Overall the Pursuits doesn't seem like an especially great deal from the research I have done but Lexus hasn't really published much in the way of the redemption side of the equation. My questions are the following:
(1) Does Lexus send out targeted offers to Pursuits cardholders for things like loyalty credits?
(2) Does redeeming your points have implications on the overall negotiating and purchase process? I mean this in the sense that to the salesman and manager they see you having a big opportunity to unload these points and may be less aggressive on price? My inclination would be to wait until the very, very end and mention that I am redeeming.
(3) When leasing, this discount/redemption would come in the form of a down payment. I always, always put zero money so in the unlikely event of a total loss I would not be out that money. How is this structured in a lease transaction redeeming Pursuits points?
Thanks.

(1) they do offer additional points once in a while (min charge amount required)
(2) redeeming ponts is the same as paying cash. Negotiate first and tell them you are redeeming your points when you pay.
(3) Leasing nowadays do have "$X due at signing" term....you can use your points for that

why get lexus card and only limit your rewards to lexus purchases.
I have citi double cash for me. 2% for everything. 1% when you purchase and 1% when you pay. they send you a check.

Lexus visa
Actually, you can redeem for a prepaid Visa card using Lexus pursuit points as well. Certainly the best option for those who may have points expiring in the short term. 10000 pts equal $100 and you can use wherever visa is accepted. Points expire 5 yrs from when they were earned.
