Default Just saw a RX400h with wood trim!

It was a 2WD model. White, tan inside with wood trim. Looked very nice. I would have bought this over my 4WD with aluminum trim.

Also gets slightly better mileage! Though a little weaker power wise, and no rear wheel electric motors.

The "original" 400h was AWD and indeed had an electric motor to power the rear wheels. The front also had an electric motor to power the front wheels in conjunction with the gas engine. A 3rd electric motor serves as the engine starter.

The FWD 400h that is now available has the same minus the rear motor, hence the reduction in power.

Is it an 07? I have the 2WD and i get great mileage. I think it is advertised for 33 MPG with the 4WD being 30

Don't know, but I wish I waited. Anyways, they are out there, I imagine demand for the wood trim was pretty big.

I actually almost bought the 400h as an upgrade for my wife last month. It was funny b/c one of the dealerships said it was just offered as an option starting in Jan ($3-$400 for the option if I remember correctly) and the other dealership didn't even know about it until I asked them.

Ended up deciding to wait for the 350 as the warped windshield killed the 400h for me.

HTH

Its funny how people have different tastes. I didnt like the wood trim in the 330 and love the looks of my 400h.
Infact my girlfriend is purchasing the Honda Accord hybrid tomorow. It has wood trim and she is thinking of changing it.

Where are the pictures! I want to see a pic of the interior with a peek inside the cabin with the wood trim showing.
