Clearshield, Anyone Get This Done?
I hope this isnt the wrong forum for this but has anyone had the "clearbra" or clearshield put on the RX or any vehicle. I'm having it done on the 27th, from what I've read on several sites, it protects the finish with no harmful effects. Just hoping to get a second opinion from someone that has gotten it done. Thanks!

Yes, highly recommended!
Here are some photos of the XPel film treatment on my 2002 BMW 530i, which looks just almost four years later ....

The same shop just did our new Lexus RX400h and it looks great.

clear shield
i had the door handle cups, the back of the outside mirrors and most importantly the HID lites done. That was the bare minimum, and the covering on the lites is thicker to resist rock chips.
I probably should have done the front around the grill and half the hood i just didnt like where the product started and stopped on the hood, however there are some rock chips after six months of driving (on the hood where i didnt have it done). The product looks good and i would do it again. It cant hurt to bargain that price for this product as there seems to be alot of markup in there considering the amout of product u get.

Thanks for the feedback and the web link. That definitely looks great! The place I'm going to is charging $499.00 to protect the hood (not sure if it's whole or half - I'll check), side mirrors, lights, front bumper and partial front fenders. I'm going to have them cover the door edges and other "target spots" also - thanks for the idea. I'll post some before and after shots.
So, Jim, 3 years later -- how is the treatment holding up? Any cracking or yellowing? I know there is a 5 year guarantee but what's your opinion?
Thanks again for the replies.

Out of Warranty
Back in 00 there were no professional installers except on the West Coast - so I DIY'ed it. The result was great, but I can appreciate the work of an experienced shop. I posted this a while back:
