2004 RX330-stuttering idle and stalling
Hi all,
Last night, my rx started to idle funny. At a red light, the idle bounced around (dipping below 500) and then eventually stalled. I was able to restart the engine, but I needed to keep my foot on the gas to keep the rpm's up whenever I stopped. When I moved from stop to go, I had to step on the pedal to past 50% before the car started to move.
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? The soonest appt I could make at the dealer is two weeks from today so I'm hoping I can make a deduction before then.
Here is some additional info:
CEL and VSC lights are on - they've been on for a week. Resealing the gas cap did not help.
It was approx 25-30 degrees farenheit last night. Car started dying after 20 minutes of driving.
Thanks in advance.

If this is the dealer where you bought your car this is absolutely terrible service. They need to give you a loaner ASAP and have your car towed to their shop .As long as you have a loaner they can take their sweet time to figure out your problem.

sorry for the delay in replies...got caught up at work and home.
I'd rather not name the dealer, but they are located in Jersey.
I'm not happy with the late appointment, but I don't feel like going crazy and fighting over it. I just want to get the car fixed.
Trust me, I'm nice at first, but if my car is not repaired up to par...I will b*tch and complain to everyone at Lexus who will listen.
I'm going to check under the hood and make sure all the hoses/connections are tight and see if I can somewhat diagnose what went wrong.
I'll keep you all updated.

I hate to say but your dealer SUCKS plain and simple!!!
My dealer will take my car in, in a second.
example--- I had my passenger mirror replaced for issues--when the mirror came in the service girl called and said stop in any time and they did it on the spot in 20 minutes! the next day.
Dont know what to say is up with your car?
