'05 Treo 650 VS My '05 RX
Hello all, My job finally swtiched my regular Palm T5 out to a Treo 650 at my repeated request(s). The phone came in and I switched service from a Motorola 710 to the Treo.
I was able to Bluetooth the old Palm T5 address book into the RX (80%) BUT the RX doesn't even see Treo 650. The Treo does see the RX's "HandsFree" and I've entered the RX passcode 1212 but the RX's Bluetooth times out and says no device found check phone etc...
I poked around online and found out there's a patch available for the Lexus - Treo Bluetooth fix BUT I only found a downloadable patch for Sprint and Cingular. I've got a Verizon Treo.
I was using a Motorola V710 in the RX and it was working perfectly, and now this phone which cost 5 times more than the V710 doesn't sync up at all. Actually reception isn't as good as the V710 just as a regular phone.
I later found that Palm One / Treo does not support Lexus automobiles (If that's not a political bullet in the foot, I don't know what is.) How could you have this high tech piece of equipment that's made to work with Dodge!?! and not Lexus.
So before I place this "Treo" in my back-up camera sights... can anyone help?

You can access it from the link in the above post.

If it's anything like my Sprint phone before the Sprint 1.12 update, you'll be able to get it to pair by following the procedure, enter the pairing code, then while the car is still in pairing mode make a call from the phone. The car will somehow pair up and link the call to the car's handsfree.
After that you should be good to go, except for possibly call waiting. Prior to the Sprint 1.12 update, any second incoming call caused both calls to drop. That, and the overall bluetoth performance, were improved greatly by that Sprint update.
