Default RX400h trailer hitch

Has anyone installed the Lexus OEM trailer hitch, PT228-48045, on their 400h?? If so, please post here.

The trailer hitch requires that junction block assembly, 82670-48050, be installed on the vehicle. Supposedly, the jba is installed on the 400h at the factory. I am attempting to verify this prior to ordering a hitch.

Thanks.

>According to another post I read that was posted by someone who has actually installed the hitch, the junction block assembly comes on the vehicle from the factory.

The Canadian RX's come a little differently equipped, but we had the dealership install the Lexus OEM hitches on both our 330 and 400h, we never heard anything about needed extra parts.

I'm curious what's "different" about your Canadian RX400h??

junction block assembly, 82670-48050
that block is only needed for non-TO equipped RX330's Primarily JPP products.

not needed for the RX400h at all.

only thing about putting a PT228-48045 hitch on the 400h is that you discard the two air deflectors in the corners of the rear bumpers. Otherwise its identical.

I'm 99% sure that all 400h's have the TO package standard

traturn...As I understand it based on my contacts with Lexus dealers, PT228-48045 is the only Lexus hitch for the 400h at this time. Are you aware of another one??

Of course, there are aftermarket non-Lexus hitches out there as well.

I have a RX330 without a junction block. Is this something I can install myself?

Thanks
