Default 2006 Rx330

Has anyone heard if there are any changes for the 2006 model year?

I'm anxious to know as well. If it has more power, and a few extra gadgets, I'm sold.

same here - getting one for the wife and would like the new transmission likely offered by a 3.5L engine - similar to new Avalon, I'm sure.

Thanks for all that info. I'm surprised of how many white's they plan to produce. I've always thought the blacks and flints fly off the showroom floor.

Looks like nothing really special for 2006....perhaps all the new R&D good stuff is going to be in the RX350, but I don't want to wait that long. I'm sure they are proud of the coinholder though.

Judging by history, the body shouldn't change until about 2009.

I dont' think its actually putting down lower numbers. Its just the method that they use is different....isnt' it? Something like SAE net/ SAE to SAE certified HP?

Hmmm you must either work at a dealership or given these numbers by a dealership.

He's saying that the power output of the engine will stay the same, but that the method for reporting that output will change. Sort of like 32 degrees farenheit and 0 degrees celsius. They are both the same temperature.

So this year with measurement x-y+z=hp we get 230. Next year itl'll be z-y+x=hp we get 223, but put an 05 and an 06 side by side and they'll still generate the same power, just measured and reported out differently.

How much hp will the 2007 RX350 have? Is it the same engine as the IS350 but with lower hp or same?

IS350 will not be the RX350 engine. Look to the Avalon engine to see what the RX350 engine will be.
