Hi all,

I've been looking for a carbon fiber hood for the RX400h / RX330, but I can't find anyone selling them.

I'm thinking would it be possible to hire someone to make one custom? Would anyone be interested in doing this? I imagine costs would be much cheaper if the custom maker made say 10 of them instead of 1 of them.

I have no idea how much it would cost, hopefully something like $400? Also, I want to get a custom carbon fiber moonroof that replaces the heavy glass. Would anyone be interested in something like this?

Well, it's been 2 weeks since I got my RX, and I'm liking it!

Wrong cliente, few RX owner will sacrifice the look for weight saving. Let me back up one level, few RX owners don't even understand what is a carbon fiber hood. If you want to shave a few pounds off, you can take off spare rim/tire and head rests from rear seats. I also took off my RX300's trunk cover, mud flaps, and luggage rails.
