i searched the forum, all i get is info on debadging. i can't seem to find anyone's comments mentioning what they did to put emblems back ON.

got the thundercloud grille for the RX today from carson - no lexus logo. can't wait to put the grille on, but need help first with the adhesive for putting on my existing emblem. do i just buy double sided tape and cut it out neatly?

They do sell emblem and trim double stick tape. It is much thinner and sticker than the standard white home type double stick tape. You would have to scrape off all the old double stick tape and put the new one on. For thin emblems though it is tough to do since the emblem tape is really stickey and the emblems are so thin. Anyway, personally I just buy new emblems. I've used the emblem tape myself to afix a fiberglass lip spoiler on my NSX and it sticks very well so I would say it does work.

3M double sided tape. Yes, just buy the right size, mark embl***s countour, and use Exacto knife to cut it out.

CK6- so if you buy new emblems they already have the adhesive on it, ready to go? maybe i'll look into that; i was thinking of selling the original grille anyway, and i think it's easier to sell if the logo is on there.

I don't think you need double-sided tape to put the Lexus emblem on the front grille. It's secured by just one screw near the top.

thanks, harrier! i will check it tonight when i get back. that would be great if it is mounted by a screw. i was not looking forward to using dental floss and hair dryer.

Yes front grill is mounted by screws. I thought you were talking about rear emblems

The front grill emblem appears to have 1 screw on the back top and simple plastic locking tabs on the bottom so no tape needed. Anyway, to answer your question just incase you need to replace other emblems in the future, yes, a new emblem comes with the double stck adhesive already attached.
