Default Serious problems, what to do?

I need advice on what to do about my 2004 RX330, Neptune blue on tan , built in Canada.

It has only 15000 Km, or 9000 miles.

Since purchased , I have been to the dealer for unexpected issues 6 times.

1. radiator crack and failure at minus 56 degrees on the highway. This scared the crap out of my wife ( We live in saskatchewan Canada), who limped into town.
2. Failed battery at 1 week post purchase.
3. electrical not cycled thru at fixes.
4. Failed dashboard twice, still squeals.
5.Failed centre console, as cupholder window failed to open. Console replaced.
6. Driver window chatter. Problem was faulty driver mirror, poorly attached, needed replacement.
7.Failed rear light seals--let in condensation. Also replaced.
8. Failed tire stem valve- replaced after trip in with pressure warning on.

My 2000 Rx was flawless.

Do they have a lemon law?

Any advice on what to do?

I have contacted Lexus Canada, and await a written response.

Thank you,

Rehabdoc

I'm not really sure about Canada, but in California, if the same problem happens 3 times and may result in serious injury or death, it's consider as a lemon; otherwise, 4 times for something that won't kill you. This info. came with my owner's manual, so check out if you have it. In any case, good luck and hope you can get these issues resolved.

I know that in the state of Ohio you would be able to exchange the car. However, in Canada, I have no clue as to what your rights are. I would assume, based on my expierience with Lexus, that they would replace it at no cost to you. I would make the corporate offices aware of your problems, see what they have to say. Just my humble oppinion.

Sorry to hear about the problems .... I have never heard of an RX330 with so many problems. On another note .... is your wife ok? If not .... I would assume there is some sort of legal action you could take.

Lightbulb Going to the top . . .

Try the Lexus Canada website, http://www.lexus.ca/ and click on the contact page. If the Canadian Lexus people are as responsive as those in the US, I'm sure they'd like to hear about this, either by e-mail or directly by phone.

Good Luck! . . . .it sounds like you are about due for some!

What is the Dealer's response? I have had an issue with the Assistant Service Manager in my dealership and the Owner has responded extremely quickly to my complaint.
My complaint was that the AM tried to Bull**** me rather than being honest. The Owner assured me that any problems are made right.

Radiator failure at minus 56 degrees?? Even Hitler's panzers failed at minus 30 degrees. Seriously, are we supposed to be driving an RX330 in weather that cold?

Well, as long as it is fixed? I doubt you can exchange cars anywhere if the problem was fixed. Lemon law works for serious issues that are repeatedly not fixed.

I am pretty sure that standard coolant should work up to -40C only, -56C is very, very cold.

Yep, looks and feels bad when you parted with that much money and the expectations were of a flawless vehicle.

That said, take a look at the list of items and break them down to

1 Environment... extreme conditions.
2. Final Fit and function .......... cosmetic annoynaces
3. Early life failure ... which are aggrevated by extreme conditions.

I would say if the dealership is helpful and is trying to address your problems, give them a fair chance to address the cosmetic issues , else try another dealership or knock at the corporate door.
