2005 RX330 Fog Lights 9006 brand??
What brand of the 9006 fog lights are you all using?? I've heard that the "Silver Star" brand are great. Look alike HID.
I want something that looks like the stock HID headlamps. The stock fog lights suck kinda of a yellowish color.....the contrast just don't do it between the two!!!!
Thanks....

If you wan the HID look while gaining light output go for the 9005 Silverstars for your lows and fogs. Minor "modifications" will need to be made but they are well worth it.
Good luck!

I went with the CATZ 9006 Galaxy White in the fogs. Lost a little visibility, but look great. If you can find them ... do those. BTW, CATZ is not in the US anymore. My second choice would be the PIAA Xtreme White. They have a slight blue tint, and a little brighter than the CATZ. I hope this helps.

I wonder how the PIAA's are compared to the Silver Star. Anyone??
From what I read you go underneath the front bumper and twist it to replace the bulb.
Can someone confirm that?

Look underneath the bumper it was covered up by plastic make it impossible to reach up and change the fog light bulb but I can see it is right there!! There is actually a hole for you to reach up but still blocked by other stuffs. Maybe mine was equipped with the headlamp washers which ends up all the extra parts underneath the bumper. Looks like the only way is to unscrew the plastic cover underneath the front bumper but looks like too much for me. Anyone have any better idea? As for the headlight bulbs its even worst, cause it was all cover up after open the hood.

lextranny,
im with u on that one. i couldnt stand those ugly yellow fog ights contrasting with my very nice HIDs. i couldnt wait to change them. its not as hard as it seems. just stick your hand in their and feel for the bulb...twist it off and twist the new one on. be sure not to touch the bulb. Be sure it has the blueish tint. my first pair that i bought was too white (although it looked blue before it was lit up), and not worth it. i bought another pair that was more blue, and they compliment my HIDs well.

I would stay away from the Silverstars. They look nice, but they do not last long. I had put them in my wife's car and they went out in 6-months. Did some searching online (mostly forums), and many others had the same problems.
I have the PIAA's in my high beams and the Catz Galaxy whites in my fogs (2002 Acura TL-S). The PIAA, though pricey, are great. The Catz match the HID low beams pretty well, and since they're in the fogs, the light output looks seems the same as the stock bulbs.....

You guys do know that the fog lights are yellowish on purpose right? The yellowish/white color was not chosen by accident, it was selected because it doesn't reflect back as much light as super-white or blue/white in the fog. But if you want your fog lights to look cool and be useless for what they were intended for go for it.

VegasRX330,
Does your RX 330 have the headlamp washers?? Kinda of tight to get in there underneath.
Jfelbab,
Yes, i know the yellowish color has a purpose. But, the contrast somehow is terrible.
Plus, it looks to me that the output of the stock fog lights is not that strong......, compare to like the Acura MDX fog lights. Any inputs anyone?? Am I right?

Mine also equipped with the headlamp wahser then it is almsot impossible to reach in to the fog light and twist it. Besides the driver side is completely blocked by a piece of plastic. I think other people who can reach in does not equipped with headlamp washer. Looks like the only way to do it is to unscrew the front undercarriage lining, and then reach up underneath.
