[I tried posting this in the Audio Video forum but haven't got an answer yet; now trying here. Getting desparate since a purchase decision needs to be made on a stereo system if it fits in behind the LCD panel]

I'm curious, in a RX330, what is behind the LCD information panel for a vehicle wihout NAV and no Mark Levinson?

The LCD is close to the size of a normal DIN stereo faceplate and one thought I had was to swap out the LCD for one of the in-dash DVD/NAV systems like the Pioneer AVIC-N1 or Kenwood (forgot the model number).

Because the LCD contains crucial ventilation and A/C info, I'd would not be throwing it out; rather I'd somehow relocate it to the headliner sunglass dropdown thingy (if possible).

But back to my question, is there room for a normal DIN car stereo behind the LCD panel? I was thinking maybe either some Mark Levinson equipment or some Nav equipment would normally be located there and since I have neither, I could put a new car stereo there.
