Default What is a good price for this RX330?

It is a local early trade in perfect condition with 2600 miles, Performance Package, and Preferred Accessory Package. MSRP is $42.9. How much should I ask for this?

I paid $500 under INVOICE price for my brand new RX330 a month ago. They delivered it straight to my door, and I never went to the delaership. eMail the Internet department at Longo Lexus if you're in So. California.

Personally I wouldn't buy a low mileage trade in/dealer demo. Mnay issues have been fixed on the RX since it came out a year ago and you may be getting a "first off the assembly line" model...even though it probably has a warranty, why bother to save just a few bucks?

I'd have to agree with vonburkleo that a new car is preferable a slightly used one, unless there's some good savings to be had. The issues about early production vs. late production don't bother me as much, because there are now TSIB's for the solutions they've implemented in the factory.

Invoice price is about $6000 below MSRP. If local dealers are really at invoice or below, then that might be the neighborhood you're looking at.

The Performance Package is a plus; other postings make it sound like the Performance Package has become harder to get. Working against you is the fact that units without Performance and without Navigation are quite plentiful, and they've been dealing on those for months. You're offereing someone who wants the Performance package a deal, but otherwise, it's hard to differentiate yourself in the market right now.

If there is a Carmax in your area, it's worth spending an hour of your time to find out what they'd offer you. It will be a pretty good measuring stick for the trade-in value of your car based on local market conditions. If you want to sell it yourself, you can add $2000-$3000 for retail.

Well, I am in a little of a predicament because the Performance Package is not available in in the area that I am moving to (Hawaii). I really want the performance package for the 18" graphite wheels, rain sensing wipers, air suspension, manumatic transmission, and AFS headlights. I will be moving to HI in a couple of days and there is only one dealership there. I was told that Lexus of America does not allow new vehicles to be sold to HI residents. That is why I am interested in this used car since it is not controlled by LOA. I got them down to $800 over invoice. Does this sound ok?

$800 over the invoice price of what? The invoice price when it was a New car? That seems crazy to me, considering what they must have paid to the guy who traded it in!

This is a used car. Check out kbb.com and see if they have the RX330 listed yet. If not, then you have to fall back on your negotiating skills. It sounds like you want it bad though...which means you should pay what you think is fair and never ask anyone if they think you got a good deal

Thanks for the info. I tried looking on kbb but there is no info yet. I've tried to look at autotrader as there are a lot of RX330s listed there. Unfortunately, the descriptions of the vehicles there aren't that good nor are there much performance packages available. Also, the asking prices are always exaggerated so it really isn't that helpful. But I guess it gives me an idea.

vonburkleo,

I have a question to you. What exactly did you pay for your brand new RX330? What additional package / features come with the RX330? Is it a AWD or FWD?

markpaco,
Welcome to Hawaii dude. I have also been in the market for a 330 and have run into the problems that you are encountering regarding shipping a brand new lexus here. I have tried to find a good used lexus but have not had any luck. Hit me up when you get here if you wanna hook up with the other lexus fanatics.

Hope things work out with the purchase. Internet prices that I have recieved range from 34,800-35,300 for one equiped with a premium package. 2 WD (mostly in southern calif)

Wow! That is a pretty good deal you got from Longo. Was it Jim or Russ that helped you?

hmmm..i am still comtemplateing on whether to get the cayenne v6, rx330 or fx35....

As far as pricing for the rx330, i was wondering how much below or over invoice ppl paid for a navi car since i heard those are very limited in supplies. Once i made up my mind, i am planning to get one with the navi package as well as the performance pkg...if anyone bought a similar combo recently, pls post price if thats okay....i am thinking about making a drive from SF Bay Area to Longo if the saving justify it..
