Default Rain-Sensing Wipers

It was part of my dealer's Prem Plus pack, which I thought was a waste of $125, but we had some rain last week and I loved how they performed. Intermittent w/ intelligence!

Agree 100% - I bet you will see these offered on many more cars in the not-too-distant future. They work as advertised!

Yeah, when the rain came down harder, the wipers went faster on their own. Sometimes I do find they do occasionally get faked out and wipe. Probably the way the light and shadows is hitting the windshield.

I've found the wipers to be not exactly what I want. On occasion they go far too fast for the conditions required and sometimes they don't wipe when I would have liked them to.

To be honest, I would be happy with a conventional intermittent wiper that would allow me to set the frequency of wiping.

You can still set speed and frequency manually. Auto is just an option.

I don't think that's true.

The only adjustment for the wiper is a + or -, which I believe only controls the sensitivity of the rain sensor, but that is not the same thing as an intermittent wiper under manual control. Even at the most sensitive (+) setting, I'm still not happy with the behavior.

Or am I just missing something?

rain-sensing wipers are great except when you go under an overpass, the shade sometimes trigger the wipers. i agree, sometimes it goes too fast for the condition of the rain. Try touching the rain-sensing wiper box, right next to ur rear view mirror, touch the outside of the windshield on the box thing, it'll go on for about 2-3 times.

Rain-sensing wipers on our RX 330 are greatest thing since sliced bread. Can't get over how they run and clear at just the right speeds and times.
