Default Trying to add an Aux cord thru CD

I have an '02 Lexus RX300 and recently followed the steps outlined in this YouTube video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oyuw4HcTR_k

however when I went on Amazon and purchased this piece, https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LWSANFE/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1487871348&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=lexus+aux+adapter
i realized that the ends are both male and can't connect. What should I use to make them get connected? I'm thinking another adapter with two female ends.

I could also see cutting the ends off and splicing them together but may be a little extreme and would make it annoying when replacing the secondary piece.

I soldered my wires a couple years ago and it's held up with no problems. Don't see myself taking it apart anytime soon. But if you want to keep things temporary, try this:

I'll try soldering them this weekend. Where did you have the aux end up coming out of when you finished?

I have an empty switch-slot next to the cigarette port, under the driver's seat heater switch. Drilled a hole in the blank slot cover and attached an aux jack.

Awesome I was thinking of doing that too, thanks for your help! I'll post once I've finished.
