P1135 fix questions - a recap?
Hello friends,
I hope everyone is well. @salimshah sorry to hear about your vehicle, you have been an immense help on this forum, I hope you can achieve your RX dreams, with whichever vehicle(s) you have.
Friends, I have a 2002 RX 300 with about 173k miles, I am the third owner, and have owned it for about 60k miles. On occasion I have been getting the VSC/Trac/Check Engine lights, and in the past, resetting the code worked, I think the codes were related to the oxygen sensor.
Two days ago, I received the P1135 code and my friend, who is a upcoming mechanic, checked the car with his OBD II reader and found the following codes:
P1135 A/F Sensor Heat Circuit Fault B1S1
and then upon further checking with some different function in his tool, he found
C1224 Open/Short Circuit in NE Signal Circuit
C1201 Engine Control System Fault
Is this a matter of changing the rear sensor (the one from below) in bank 1, with the recommended Denso 234-9009 sensor from Am++on for about ~$100

If so, should I change just 1 or both? And are both Denso 234-9009?
Any special tools I should get for my mechanic friend, he has the tools he uses at work etc. but I read about an Oxygen Sensor offset puller, 16 PB Penetrating blaster etc. are those recommended?
One last question, are the C1224 and C1201 codes likely to be associated with the P1135?
Any other tips and recommendations are welcome and much appreciated.
Thank you very much
