Default Time to say goodbye to rx

Well sad to say but I think it may be time to say goodbye to my 300. Reason being is 3 different shops have confirmed that my transfer case is leaking and on top of that the last shop I went to told me they could hear the planetary gears whining; signaling that the trans is on its way out a well. I think considering that it's gonna cost serous $$$$ in the tune of $2400 to $4000; it's time to look for a second or third gen rx to replace it. 😢

no not totally salim. I just hope that if i do end up with a second or third gen rx; that the transmission and transfer case hold up for longer than 2 years. The last shop of the 3 i went to which was a actual transmission shop; well the manager there said hes seen it time and time and time again where due to the lousy crappy design of the first gen transmissions that they have been known to fail prematurely etc. so I just hope that the second or third gen hold up better.
