Sticky Transmission
Hi everyone,
When do I need to change the transmission fluid? I feel like when I go from P down to RNDL, it feels "hard" or "sticky". This only happens when I shift between P to R or R to P. I am the second owner of the car so I'm not sure if this is normal. Thoughts?

Soem do drain and fill every 15k miles. I would not go beyond 30k miles. Drop pan clean and reassemble every 110K miles (unless drain tells otherwise).
Please check the prior maintenance.
P->R problems happen if you park an auto-trans vehicle on an incline. The rolling weight puts tension on the pawl. Best is to use parking brake before going from R->P and on drive off, first go P->R and then disengage parking brake.
Also report back your idle rpm. If it is high you can experience the symptoms you are describing. Each machine is unique, but what you state is not normal when you park on a flat horizontal surface.
