So the question I have is: now that the old unit is out, is there a way to clear the Evaporator drain without disassembling your whole dash board?

Yes. You lift up the passenger side carpet and will see the drain hose at the let side stick out the engine firewall. You remove the black plastic pipe and clean it. My both heater and EV cores was leaking. So I have to replace those and peace of mind did the expansion valve also.

Are you sure they were leaking? Not to question you but if the evap was leaking, you would be in bad shape. The refrigerant would have filled the car with 134a gas.
If it were coolant, it would be hot as hell and burned the passenger. The fluid in your video was clear. It must be condensate from the AC. Its hard to tell from the video, but it looked like the water flow increased when you turned the fan speed up. That would tell me that the drip tube is blocked and the fan is forcing the water out of the housing.

If we are discussing the common source of leaks in high milage/age then a leak in the clam-shell is very likely.

Drcoffee that's right antifreeze was leaking badly and flooded the passenger side carpet and also driver side. I have no other way to take out the heater core with out removing the dash board or the whole thing. It was smell freon in the cabin. Ev core is spraying leaks. So I replace both cores with expansion valve too. Again you donot need the dash removal to clean the Ev drain hose.

My mistake. It did not look like coolant in the video. I commend you on your willingness to tackle a job that involved.

After I clean the Evaporator drain hose with Toyota ac refresher kits heater core started leaks badly. I don't know why. 16/17 years of services parts are getting weaker day by day. Thanks.

My RX300 just leaked water also. It's coming from the same location as documented in your video. Did you ever determine the root cause and the final solution. Was it clogged anywhere in the evaporator case? I'm on a tight budget and don't want to drop several hundred dollars fixing this. I've already lost my carpets and padding on both sides. Help!

My water leak increases also as I turn up the fan. It's clear water so I agree with you that there is no question it is coming from the AC. Where should I look to see if the drip tube is blocked. The rubber drain hose is clean as a whistle. THX, Brooke

Pull the passenger side carpet and look at the black drain hose at the left lower side stick out to the engine. Pull out from the evaporator assembly and Clean it. See if it help.

Yeah its a big job doing this, much easier to remove the engine and transmission. Did you remove the front seats? And would have been nice to see the actual heater core and evaporator assembly pictures too. What material are they made of ? Funny the older cars HVAC parts seem to last way longer than the newer cars do.
