Default oil in intake hose

when I was cleaning the MAF I saw some traces of oil in the hose going to engine. Is it normal or it is indication that need new PCV valve.

oil in intake hose, one side is connected to air filter/ MAF other side going to engine.

Normally fuel vapors which have gone by the side of the piston into the engine where oil circulates is supposed to rise up into the air intake through PCV.

As RX ages some folks are seeing oil consumption through that port. Folks who have had this problem are reporting an improvement with the modified valve cover.

The connection is through the PCV. The valve allows vapors to come from the engine block to the intake and the check stop prevents the air from the intake to enter the engine block.

Please use search.

Thanks for the response.
I was looking at carfax and it looks like pcv valve was changed at 60k, so if i need to change it shal I get the complete kit
PCV Valve + Grommet + Hose Kit
or just the valve should be sufficient?

Do you have oil consumption issue?

If not just change the PCV and the grommet.

oil in the air intake hose past the maf is from the front valve cover connection. There is no pcv upfront to replace.
If there is plenty of it, you can remove your valve cover and clean the baffles. Note you will need a new front valve cover gasket if you attempt.

Thanks for the response, it is very little i will say may be few drops.I
I saw both valve cover gaskets were changed at 110k..
I am thinking just to change the PCV valve at this time and keep monitoring

Depending on brand and flexibility and milage since your valve cover gaskets have been changed, you may be able to lift the valve cover right off the gasket without damage to attempt cleaning.
IMO, i'd wait till the summer months to reassess, during winter it is normal for oil mist to gel up and cause a restriction in the baffles if trips are not long.
