Question Some Generic Service Items listed in the Maintenance Guide

With the help of this forum i have been able to avoid expensive visits to the service center for last 4-5 years . I visit an independent mechanic only for oil change and carry my own Synthetic Oil and Toyota Oil Filter.

Going through the Lexus Maintenance Guide i came across the following items and wondering how important these are at 145K miles and if it would be good for me to specifically ask the mechanic during the next oil change to look at these. Or should i myself slide under the RX and just do a visual inspection.

1- Inspect and tighten nuts and bolts on chassis and body
2- Inspect variety of hoses
3- Tighten driveshaft bolts and lubricate
4- Inspect exhaust pipes and mountings
5- Replace Suspension Fluid (on applicable models)

Also i have had no need to do anything to my AC till now. Just wondering if any preventive maintenance is needed for AC?

Thanks,
Trips

I do not have Volume 1 and I suspect it has the drawings of which nuts and bolts to check. Around this milage all age related stuff needs to be inspected.

I would leave AC alone .. other than looking for bubbles in the inspection window. Once in a while I clean up the condenser ... the grill in front of the radiator.

I think these are the "services" the dealer charges you for but doesn't actually do (check this, inspect that, etc).

What the mechanic does/does_not, dealer charges or skips .. the manufacturer does recommend and states it out in service manual. For SC, Lexus enumerates in Volume 1.
