Question Non-Nav Screen problem

Got in and started driving yesterday, outside temp about 42degrees. Went to turn up the heat a bit and noticed that the whole middle of the screen was blank. There was no fan speed or air flow direction showing on the LCD. Also no trip computer info. The radio station and clock info were there though. The green lcd on the Auto control button was on and I could hear and feel the fan speed up as I turned the Auto dial. Shut off engine at red light and restarted and all the info was back as it should be. Was wierd, just wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen.

yes, that happened to me once in my '01 RX300 (exactly as you described). i shut it off and restart and everything was back again. i don't remember where i was or what temp it was outside, but i live in southern california so it couldn't have been less than 50 degrees.

it never happened again, but i just traded it in for the new RX330, so i only owned it for 20 months.
