My wife started saying that her stereo was randomly deciding to not work. In the mornings she would push the power button, but it would display audio off. At lunch after the car sat in the heat the radio would come on. This became inconsistent, and now it will not come on at all. The climate control, and screen still work. The cd changer will also eject the disc cartridge if you touch the eject button.
I have checked the under hood and under dash radio fuses. The antenna motor does not make any noise because the radio won't come on. I had just bought a new antenna mast to replace the broken one. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Could be that you need a new unit.

Before that disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes [you will loose your memory settings]. This should clear out any gremlins in the system and may bring your audio system to normal.
