Default LED License plate lights

Is it possible to retrofit LED license plate lights into my RX300?

If not what is the closest "OEM" looking bulb I could get and where?

I don't want nothing crazy bright, however I do want the LED look.
Thanks, Tom

Yeah, it's as simple as pulling the old bulb out and installing a new 194 LED bulb.

Seeing as you're in NY, it likely wont be too easy to replace the bulb because the screws on the hatch will likely be rusted. If so, you will need to take off the inside hatch panels to access the bulb. There are instructions on here to do that, just do a quick search.

EDIT: Here are those instructions: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...e-removal.html

I have already been through the process of removing the rear door hatch interior panel and drilling the old ones out. I replaced the bulbs with regular 194 bulbs and stainless steel screws that time around.

I want to go LED this time, as it would be a simple install for me at this point, but can I take the LEDs from an RX 350 and install them into the 300? Has it been done before?

If that cant be done, what is a good "stock" looking LED bulb?

Tom

You need to find out which bulb the RX350 takes, and go from there.

This thread has some suggestions on LED's that may provide an OEM look: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...te-lights.html

speaking of this; i just noticed that my right front side marker light(on the right front corner of the front fender) is out. How do I pop that sucker out so i can hopefully easily replace the bulb? also; what is the right part number for a stock bulb? Or is it better just to replace all 4 marker lights with led's at this point?

I believe you get to that bulb from inside the splash shield.

We just got these in recently:

http://www.taninautoelectronix.com/T...s_t10_pure.htm

They work great in constant use locations and are actually white. No blue tint with these. The cheaper LED's start to flicker and fail if they are on for a long period of time.

Thanks, us the price per set or per bulb?

Do you have any pictures of them as licensed plate light bulbs?
