Digital clock slow
hey guys, did a quick search didn't see anything pertaining to this..
Does anyone notice that their clock is slow? I set the time and within a week it is always a few minutes slower than what my phone tells me the time is...

Mine is pretty accurate. The only time I see a problem is resetting when the battery gets weak and the starter drops the voltage below the min spec of supply voltage to the clock.
Have to checked with another clock .. it could be your reference is bad.
The clock is digital in nature and the beat is kept by the crystal's molecular structure (and the cut). That frequency is divided down to sec. In other words, you can not make it go faster or slower. Changing the crystal would be the solution, and in today's world, it would be cheaper to replace the clock.

thanks for the info.. it has been off by a few minutes and Ive reset it at least 20 times since I've owned the car going on 2 years.. I have a brand new heavy duty battery.. Hope the starter isn't ****ting the bed, Although I haven't had any issues with it, that I know of.. cell phone is on point with my computer.. def the car clock lagging..

I have had a similar issue only the clock in mine always seems to want to gain time and yea Im sorta getting tired of constantly having to fix it also. I wish there was a way to have it set via radio signal or cell network like lot of newer vehicles have but no such luck there. And i know for a fact it is gaining time because my reference source is always accurate as its set via the atomic clock.

In the pursuit of perfection 
I had an issue with temp gauge and brought it up with service writer on my first visit (1000 miles). Was given a glib explanation that it is for indication only [unclaibrated] and it it shows proper temperature for certain temperature.
Well even a dead watch shows accurate time at least two times a day. Fast and slow show good time when you set it and then it will be years if not months that it will show correct time
