I own a 02 RX300, my friend and i installed an Kenwood Single Din Aftermarket Radio and now the volume doesn't work at all not a single sound. We checked all the wires and they seem to match up correctly. I want to know if it is the factory amp or anything that is the problem.

Any help or advice would mean a lot thank you

Welcome to Club Lexus!

I'd triple check your wiring, it has to be related to what you've done. Or else, it's an incredibly perfectly timed coincidence.

Did you re-wire it using another harness (the right way to do it) or just molest the car's original harness? If you used an additional harness, try plugging in the stock radio and see if the audio still works.

Here is what we did, when we pulled out the factory head unit it had like 3 connectors connected. So we cut those connectors and splice the colored wires with the Kenwood harness. The damn thing turns on but doesn't play any sound. We checked all the fuses and they seem fine. Do you think the factory amp is blown? I will try to use the factory head unit and see how it goes.
