Hid kit, $24.99

How do you get around making it water proof? and is 35w has enough lumens or better than oem hallogen? I am seeing some water proof kits for 40bux.
There is a link in my original message. This is only a 35watt kit, thus less heat then OEM 55watt halogen bulbs. That said, in retrospect, perhaps I should have purchased a 55watt kit for a few dollars more.
In buying inexpensive HID kits, I learned, the hard way, that you want a kit with waterproof ballasts.
BTW, total installation time, less than 5-minutes. I temporarily removed one bolt that secures windshield washer reservoir to make access to passenger side bulb easier.

I have these cheap hid kits in my cars too. They project nicely out of the RX headlight housings. They arent anymore of a hazard than oem lights if they are pointed correctly as they are in shielded reflected housings. Other cars housings vary though.
