Pioneer Amp Not Working...No Audio. Fix??
99 RX300...suddenly the audio stopped playing. I can still search through the stations, antenna work, etc etc but no audio. Narrowed it down to the amp. I read one thread so far stating there is an audio output chip inside the amp that someone changed out and fixed their issue. Anyone else do this? Anyone know where the chip is located? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have confirmed it's the amp, your best bet is to just buy a used amp from ebay or a salvage yard. IMO, I wouldn't mess with trying to replace the supposed audio output chip inside of it.

Availability of a used amp depends on whether you have the Nakamichi version or not; "standard" ones are easy to find, Nakamichi ones are not, and they are NOT interchangeable.
Also, be sure you have not inadvertently turned on the "mute" feature.
