Default Drive it or tow it: P1346 after timing belt

I posted earlier that a mechanic (actually my mechanic's assistant) changed my timing belt and I had an issue b/c he dented the oil pan. The mechanic fixed the dent and I drove home. After my post about the oil pan that evening, I took my RX out the following morning and the check engine returned. Scanned it as P1354 and googled it with timing belt - certainly appears the timing belt is off a tooth. The mechanic agrees that is almost definitely the problem. I'm taking it in but want opinions if I should tow it or drive it. The mechanic is 20 miles away. Hard to say if the RX feels OK - it's either not exactly right or it's my imagination b/c the check engine is on. The check engine light is solid and not flashing. The mechanic thought it's OK to drive.

And from now on no more assistants.

I'd say tow it as well.

You'd be kicking yourself in the butt on the off chance that the engine did in fact get damaged driving to the shop.

Meh. I hate it when my stuff gets used as the training guinea pig. Especially if the trainer isn't watching like a hawk. Good luck with this!
