Default rx300 Transmission

Well, I too have fallen to the trans problems of the rx300. I have an 02 with 200,000+ miles and just had the transmission overhauled. Not a single problem, then bam!!! Well, I can't be mad, lasted me this long. lol Was 4200 to be redone, (new rebuilt trans) The car itself is Awesome. I couldn't just scrap it, now hopefully, another 200,000!!! Beautiful car. Bought it for my wife for her B-Day!!! If you want a great car and don't mind spending a little extra to keep it up now and then, this is the car.

Welcome to Club Lexus!

$4200 is a lot, could have had it rebuilt much cheaper! But, glad to hear it is now fixed! Is it AWD or FWD?

I'm at over 200k on my original transmission. My uncle is well past 400k miles on his original transmission as well.

WOW!! $4200!! That's astronomical!

I just saw 2 RX's in my area for sale for less than $5k....with working transmissions and under 130k.

I'm glad you got it fixed though.
