Can you please elaborate? Not necessarily the process, which makes it outside the scope of a DIY but what are we talking about.

Muffler bearing housing? I assume you knew I was just making a joke in response to the need for "booster/outer steering suspension".

Well I get the "muffler bearing" joke as that is a classic but before that I had no idea what Vess1954 meant by the boosting/ outer steering thing and just figured that it was a garbled description of what he heard, not a joke, particularly since there was no smilie. If you do decide to fix it though, make sure that you change your muffler fluid at the same time or you will get everything sludged up.
