Default Look what's for sale in my area

It's Labor Day weekend--no work tomorrow!--and I found myself mindlessly checking out Craigslist. Look what I found for sale in my area:

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/4037871432.html

What a beauty!

I have a base model millennium silver RX300 with a very similar grille on it, but I still have the two-tone paint job. This Coach edition really makes me want to paint the lower cladding on mine...

They are asking nearly $11k for that.

That's almost RX400h money.

Honestly, Hyper, if I was in the market for another car--but I'm not...I'm quite happy with my beloved antique--I'd seriously consider buying it. Personally, I wouldn't feel guilty about paying $9,000 or so for this Coach edition.

Heck, I still think my non-Coach edition is worth a couple grand more than the purported KBB value (which just goes to show just how overly attached to my car I am).

Don't get me wrong, I just about damn near bought a Silversport for $9,500 about 2 months ago!

I love these first gen RX's! But, for another couple grand I could get a RX400h with double the fuel economy. Which is the only reason I didn't buy the silversport. I'm going to wait till the prices drop some more on the RX400h, and then pull the trigger.

The RX300 will still be around though, no letting this one go for at least another 5 years.

Sure looks to be in great shape -- I wish I'd found that sooner!

The absence of any interior pictures is somewhat concerning. Hard to believe it is simply an oversight.

Double fuel economy? I heard they don't get nearly that.

Not literally double, but quite a bit better fuel economy.

Mind you, I wouldn't buy an RX for fuel economy. But it's just a benefit along with the other positives of the car, such as the refinement.

It's actually not that bad price wise, plus the battery longevity is great. Take a look at prius forums, they are proven and you will see that a battery replacement is not common.
