Have a 1999 RX 300. When my mom had it if she didn't use it for a week the battery would die and she would jump it and it would be ok for a while. We replaced the battery 3 weeks ago and now the battery is dead again. Had the alternator tested and was told it was fine. When you jump it starts right up but now will not hold a charge, it will run for about 10 mins and the engine starts stumbling and shuts off. Any ideas or suggestions where to start looking? Thanks

Do you have any add on after market accessory?

I would go back to the place you bought the battery from. Have them check your charging circuit and replace the battery yet again.

A good battery can run the vehicle during the day, for a good 40 minutes.

Battery is still under warranty so I replaced it. Will see how it does tomorrow. The vehicle did sit from Jan this year until approximately 3 weeks ago, when we drove it from FL to TX. Found out that my mom never had any issues with it until she hit on the right front quarter panel about a year and half ago. Plus the ABS/Traction control light came on about 2 weeks ago and then the battery issue a week later. There is only approximately 81,000 miles on it. Can any of these issues be related. Only have had the Lexus for approximately 3 weeks. There are no after market accessories on it.
