Default Exhaust system movement when shifting to R / D

While debugging some odd noises I hear from engine area when shifting to R or D I noticed whenever transmission was engaged, the whole exhaust system moved up. Is this expected behavior? Is this a sign of worn engine mounts or something else?

Here is the video evidence:

For reference here is exhaust system parts list:

Check if your dog-bone mount (top of the engine near passenger side) is broken or not.

Mine was broken and it stressed out the WU-CAt (pre-cat) and sheared it off. So dont delay as one thing leads to another.

Damn. That sucks for you. Will check out the dogbone next chance I get, it's only about a year old so maybe I got a defective one.

Your problem (if any) may be different and there is always some margin of movement .. that is why we have rubber mountings and flex pipes. IN my case the exhaust was moving in and out of the bottom of the precat (break was hidden by the heat shield).

Visual inspection of dogbone does not show any obvious signs of deterioration but I understand that visual inspection may not suffice. Made a video of dogbone during shifting R-N-D and see some movement but maybe this degree of movement is normal.

Many thanks for your input Salim !

It is hard for the average joe like me to determine what is normal tolerance since most people will never observe the exhaust moving up / down or dogbone during gear shifting.
