Default your opinions please

We are soon to buy an rx. Here are my options:

2003 AWD Premium Package etc.. 35,338 (new) with lexus financing at 4.9% for 60months or 3.49% for 60m at another dealer for the same vehicle at normal pricing (39K)

2002 AWD etc.. like above with 10,000 miles for 35,900 (no brainer the one above right?)

2001 same as above with 40,000K CPO for 29,800, plus free delivery to my house, since the dealer is 800 miles away.

2001 from CL member CK1_RX3, he has evey option but not Nav, or HID, plus it has chrome 16" OEM wheels with 40K miles. Price to be negotiated (CK1_RX3 fill in the gaps if I left any details out)

Thanks

okay Kutscher, things are going slow at work so I'll crunch some numbers and see what looks best...

$ 39,915.23 total (principle & interest) for the first '03 at a higher interest rate or
$ 42,558.20 total (p&i) for the second '03 at a lower interest rate...

Used '02 for the same price as the first '03? You're right... no brainer.

'01 with 40k already? Price isn't bad, but the mileage is high. High mileage vehicles depreciate faster and are harder to sell down the road. I'd steer clear of this one...

CK1's '01 w/o Nav and HIDs. - Do the other RX's you're looking at have HIDs and/or Nav? CK1 probably has taken pretty good care of his RX. So it would depend on what he's asking for it.

If I were you, I'd first decide if I want a brand new RX, or a used one. Because you're going to save a lot of money on a used one... And with these RX's, if you can find a great deal, you'll never be upside down.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out!

CK1's rx almost matches all the others I am looking at, with the exception of the chrome wheels. And yes he has taken great care of the vehicle it is very nice. His asking price is 32,500 but from my impression he is willing to take less. What should I offer? From my previous discussions on this board, 27K was recommended or 30K for a CPO one. Is this opinion still the same?

Just struck a deal with ck1, so I am purchasing his rx, I was very impressed with it, even though I have never seen it in real life. I will post pictures of my GS4 and the new RX when we have it delivered to us!! I hope my wife is happy with her new x-mas present!
