Another option might be to adjust the sensitivity of the auto-lights (I read about it in the manual awhile ago, but don't recall if that needs to be done at the "dealership").

Yes, it has to be done at the dealership. It is one of the C-Best settings.

^^^^ I had my dealer change mine to more sensative, They didnt come on soon enough for me bfore. Now they work beautifully.
