Exclamation 01 Rx300 Accident

My daughter rear ended a Jeep on the way home in my 01 rx 300. Thank God everyone was safe, but now I'm wondering what I should do with it. I had liability so it's up to me to fix it. I got a few quotes and they go from $2000-$9000. 3 of them suggested to just call it totaled. It's been 11 years with this car, and I'm still not willing to let it go. Please let me know if you know somebody in Houston that can fix it for cheap. Thanks!

You need to give us more details ,,,

From the picture:
Hood
Front bumper.

Under the hood?
Radiator?

I would look for the hood and bumper from salvage yard. You can buy them new, but that will drive the price up.

Getting them painted would make it perfect.

As far as the Jeep, you could have hit a concrete divider.

Looks like minor damage from what I can see. New bumper, hood. Pop the hood and take some pics of the radiator and core support.

edit, Ha, jinx

If you still like it, fixing it would be cheaper then a new car assuming the car is fine in every aspect other then the collision damage. I'd say just fix it.

I had something similar with a previous car. It was the other driver's fault though. I took it to local dealer's body shop for repair. The repair estimate was a few hundred under value of car. They started work, using used body parts. Mid-way, they found hidden damage and the estimate jumped to over the car's value. I said I would pay the extra to have it repaired as I wanted the car. The free rental car immediately stopped. I kept the car for several more years until the engine needed extreme repairs.

looks close to gone but buy a used hood and fit it and lets see how much more work you have got to fix it just keep posting pics. The grilles will need to be replaced and bumper. Fit all those and it shouldn't be too far out.

Thanks for all the quick replies!
From what I've been told I will need a:
New bumper
Hood
Radiator

Also they will need to pull some of the body since some of the fame overlaps. That's about it.
I got an estimate of $2000 from a Mexican guy that works at a BMW collision center. He says that for everything, parts and labor. It will all be done in his garage. Should I go with that?

well if you really like your Rx then i think you go ahead and get it fixed but also i think you should get more than one estimate just to make sure the cost of fixing falls into same $$ range.
But if i were you i think i would have gone with a next generation RX

I'm glad to hear everyone is safe.

I'd definitely get it fixed, the damage doesn't appear to be extensive at all (at least from the pictures, and from what you told us needs to be fixed).

Ok guys, I just dropped off the rx at the guys place. After it is fixed I plan on selling my Nissan, taking this rx, and buying my kids another Lexus. I'll post some pics after it is repaired.
