Default 2001 AWD RX300 transmission cable

hey everyone new to this site and the RX, I purchased my 01 RX300 Luxury Edition in 2010 but I haven't been able to use the car the past two years, so it hasn't been used but frequently we charged the battery and moved it around the parking garage every two weeks or so, However ever since I got the car, the gear shift has always been stiff, So my friend and I figured we would move it back and forth to loosen it up, Unfortunately I was a little too rough with it and it just snapped in the park position, I live in the salt belt in Canada and while a dealer maintained babied car, we still have salt which gets into everything, So my friend came to check out the car for me and told me the transmission cable has snapped off, I think because the pivot wasn't lubricated properly, Anyway does anyone know how much it might cost to repair this at the dealer? Other then this, even while sitting around in my parking spot for a year and a half the car starts like new on old gas, and before the cable snapped the cars brakes were even fine after a few stops to get the rust off. The original michelins are starting to get dry cracked though. I wouldn't have let it sit, but I had some licensing issues so my baby had to sit. Other then that, this is the most fantastic vehicle I ever had, It has the black leather option and it is in like brand new condition, It also has a new timing belt installed. I have wanted this car since I was 13 years old and my aunt bought one brand new, Anyway thanks for reading

If you were to take it to the [S]tealership. it would most likely cost too much. Unless your Lexus is under warranty, though with a 2001, I highly doubt it. Use a certified Lexus mechanic...

Its no longer under warranty although I purchased it from the dealer, It was a one owner car though and dealer maintained, You can tell by the interior condition and exterior that it was babied though looks and drives like new no rattles or anything, I would take it to a Lexus mechanic but I live in a smaller province, and I was told that part of the lower dash where the gear shift and seat warmers is would have to be removed to do the repair and well, If the clips were to break the car would rattle which would be a shame because it looks and drives just like my aunts did back in 2003 haha no rattles nothing even the seals around the doors are like new
