Rear main seal leak- auto rx?
So, my 03 with 155k on it finally had an issue. Noticed about half an ounce of oil on the floor, leaking from the point where the engine and trans meet.Further research suggests this is almost certainly the rms.
In an effort to not spend 1500 on the repair,i have been looking into alternatives. Lots of good things on doing two bottles of auto rx and the sludge treatment instructions.
My oil has always been extremely clean, and no varnish or consumption ever.
Should i do two bottles or one? Any other advice on this product? Any experience with it?

Have you consistently used the same brand/type and weight of oil?

Yes, give Auto-RX a shot. Usually it works!
I thought I had a rear main seal leak a few years ago, but it magically disappeared within' a week. It only showed up when I switched to a newer thicker oil, which I never used again due to it starting what I thought was a leak. Luckily, the leak hasn't returned since it made it's premiere launch a few years ago

Changed the oil and added one bottle. I plan on driving about 1500 miles, then changing the oil filter only. Then doing a full oil change 1500 miles after that. I will repeat as necessary. Really hoping this fixes my rear main seal leak!!

Auto RX works for my car I had rear main seal leak, I used only 1 bottle after 2K miles it's totally stop leak, now I am using Castrol GTX 10W-30 for summer and 5W-30 for winter, I am not so sure mobil 1 synthetic caused a leak so I stop using it.

You ask because the manufacturers recommendation did not work, or you are hoping for a quicker cure? Your answer would help members to give you better advice.
Personally I am not a fan of additives due to possible side affects, but lot of folks speak highly of this product.
I would suggest a repeat treatment instead of double dose.
