Front Passenger Window Motor Install
I have a 2000 RX300 and decided to avoid the $1300 passenger front window motor and regulator job from the dealer and just do it myself (reevaluating that thought now!) I ordered the new motor took everything apart just like the awesome thread in the forum says to do, however, when i put the new motor back in and tried it, it only went one direction, Down and stayed down.
Is it possible i have a bad switch too? Dealer said those were the two "bad" parts (Motor/Regulator) that needed replaced, however, now, it seems like a door switch issue. Has anyone heard of that? or am I supposed to initialize the motor first? Again, when i plug the motor in and hit the switch, it only goes one direction. You guys are awesome in the club so pleeeeease help as I do not have the $$ to take it back to the Dealer.

Welcome to the Club.
There is a reset procedure.
1. Remove motor from the electrical connector and also the regulator (metal arm it sits on) from the power window
2. Now reconnect motor to electrical connector but do not reattach to the regulator
3. Place a small mark on the motor (rotating part of the motor)
4. Turn ignition switch to ON and press window button to UP for more than 6 and less than 10 rotations (it's about 4+ seconds)
5. Now reattach the motor to the regulator.
At no time after reattachment do you want to press the down button until you have raised the window fully to the top.
