Replacing spark plugs posted on youtube?
I saw the DIY on how to replace the spark plugs on this forums, great write up, but I wonder if anyone has posted the video on Youtube of how to replacing the spark plugs on RX300. That would be awesome!
Thanks

I agree it would be awesome, but so hard to photograph changing those three rear plugs. Maybe they could show the owner leaning the engine compartment and swearing continuously! Seriously, a video shot with an out-of-vehicle engine might be helpful in showing what we're looking for and how best to reach things; I remember doing it all by feel.

Perhaps the next time I do it, I can do a video of it.
I'll have to get someone to help me, perhaps my fiance or my neighbor as it is a major PITA to do (reason I do photos). Last time I did my plugs was in that DIY that you saw, which was over 5 years ago.

With an interval of 110K miles, dont hold your breath
On top of that it all depends upon tools available, manual dexterity, dealing with feel only ...
In other words, it is possible by removing the engine cover shell only. I did use the upholstery-tack-removal tool to pop out the ht wire.

I was able to change my spark plugs with the help of the DIY posted by Lexmex
A video would just basically help you feel more confident in what you are doing.
I just did a quick search:
This gives you a close enough general idea. I did not have any issues with the connectors, and did not have to remove the upper intake (no reason for me to).
The 3 in the front is cake work. The 3 in the back is making love to a woman in the dark. There's no other way to describe it, you really have no choice but to feel around. There was barely enough room for my hands to be back there to work let alone see or have space for a camera.
All you need to know is:
1. Go back to Lexmex's post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-patience.html
2. You MUST have the right tools, it will make your life so much easier.
3. Have lots patience in trying to wiggle your hand around.
4. Try not to do this alone if possible, an extra spotter helps.

Just to let people know, the work can be done without removing the intake. You need an assortment of extensions and I vaguely remember assembling the right length inside the spark plug well. If you pre-build the right length. it is too long to get in there.

video was too long for me to review. keys to replacing plugs are
1. disconnect your battery
2. dont over torque (over tighten) your plugs. always install them hand tight first (to ensure you dont cross thread them,) and then attach your ratchet and tighten them another 1/2 to 2/3 rotation
