How do I fix a vertical tear on side of driver seat?
Hi, does anybody have a recommended fix. I have a vertical tear on the drivers seat, this gets bent going on and off the vehicle. I tried using super glue and it held for awhile. With the desert dry heat it started and made a bigger tear, its now about 1 1/2" tear.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Call your dealership and ask who they recommend for leather repair or search for leather menders in your area. The dealer recommended shop will give you the best possible repair (better match of colors etc).
Also keep a lookout for folks selling the skins of the seats. Usually they sell the whole set and the driver is the most worn.
I would also suggest that you frequently treat the leather. Prevention is the best thing you can do.

I had this happen on my RX300 in the past year and got it repaired by a leather repair specialist. Actually, the tear was in the side vinyl near the seam of the front leather.
The repair guy put a thin clear tape over it and feathered the edges of the tape with filler. Then, he air-brushed it with a matching "dye". This and the other repairs he did are completely invisible except for where he covered over stitching (and you now see a gap in the stitching).
