I usually always fill up at Costco. It's much cheaper than local gas stations, especially since I use 93 octane. From what I understand, Costco get's gas from whoever is cheapest, so they aren't necessarily top tier.

I use a gas station called "Sheetz" ... only because their 93 octane is the cheapest price in the area... gets the job done I suppose.
I believe Sheetz is only in NC, VA, WV, MD and PA

I personally use Shell 87 and have observed better MPG. They did a test like this in our area as well. They said to stick with one gas station and not to hop around from station to station. Don't fill up when the station is getting new gas.
The Honda Accord in the house also gets Shell only and the same with that car, better observed MPG.
So you decide. Just stick to one of the major gas stations (Shell, BP, Exxon).

Our 2005 Camry had the CAT go out two years ago at 75K. Just inside of the fed warranty. The local Toyota dealer said cheap gas was to blame and they see it all the time. I laughed and said, so what do you recommend when I only put Shell gas in it from the time it rolled off your lot brand new? The only time it hasn't seen Shell is when we travel. If I can't find Shell we still are putting in BP or Exxon. The guys jaw just dropped.

If Shell is bad, I don't know what to fill...

I would go with Shell ... but they're the most expensive gas in my city!
$3.99 at my local "Sheetz" compared to $4.19 at Shell.
& that is 87 grade.
93 grade is $4.19 at Sheetz compared to $4.46 at Shell.
So iono. Wallet is tight :P

We're still using Shell about 90% of the time. They are plentiful here in the North Charlotte area and the price isn't bad.
